LATISM to host event with FCC on “How to Close the Homework Gap”
GritoBlast! Julie Diaz Asper shares that +LATISM has an event tomorrow to help close the homework gap!
The event will bring together policy, education, technology and telecom industry leaders to address the growing homework gap among disadvantaged student.
The “homework gap is the cruelest part of the digital divide,” said FCC Commissioner Rosenworcel during the Hispanic Heritage Foundation Summit April 29th. “School age kids without broadband will enter the market with a huge handicap.”
The free event is open to the public and focused on giving experts, parents and students a voice in how to close the homework gap and maximize digital learning opportunities. The keynote is Federal Communications Commissioner Honorable Jessica Rosenworcel.
